We all know how difficult it is to find original Japanese CDs. Sure, there are tons available online, but the erratic dollar-peso exchange rates and the prohibitive shipping fees don’t exactly make online shopping a viable option. Let’s not even talk about the bloody custom’s office, which has—as I’m sure some of us have experienced, been known to hold up packages for days and weeks trying to get the owners to cough up “taxes” for its release.

On the other hand, I have been known to accumulate CDs at an alarming rate, with packages sent from abroad and a number of other random things I buy and then promptly forget I own. As a result, the sales have become more regular, less far in between, and have dropped in prices. Other than helping keep the mess under control and my pockets lined with cash, I’d also rather give my things a better home than let them languish unloved and unwanted on my bedroom floor.

All things considered, I’m not surprised most of the second-hand goodies I put up for sale were snapped up within hours of posting at the website. I was even surprised at the number of bids going for the same item (FYI: the first bidder always gets the item, and not the highest bidder—yes, somebody did offer to pay extra for an already sold item). And you guys even managed to kill my bandwidth; I can only marvel at how you were able to do that to an HTML site.

Which brings us to my question: should I make the sale a regular, once a month affair?

It’ll offer the same great items, the same low prices, and the same lousy website. But you gotta admit, it still beats CD-JAPAN by a long shot grin
