Initially, by default, the forums automatically subscribes you to any topic that you reply to. So, it’s most likely that you have received notifications from the site whenever a there’s a new post to the topic you previously responded to. If you want to unsubscribe from these topics, you may do so at your control panel’s subscriptions manager.
As of this topic’s posting, I have disabled this automation and you now need to manually select the checkbox beside the “Notify me via email when someone posts in this thread” option.
We’ll be having our very own Wiki page very soon that is completely integrated with the website. What’ll the Wiki have? On the forefront will be more detailed BAND information pages that can be updated by the band members themselves. Of course, the Wiki will also have information about J-Rock and J-Pop bands/artists, etc.
We can’t do this by ourselves, though. We definitely need your help in setting up the OS Wiki.
Please respond to this thread if you are interested so that I can elevate your membership status. By default, all members of this site can make and edit Wiki articles, but at 300++ members, we have to know which of these are actually willing to help us.
Oh, and if you are already a member of a band that performed in a previous OS event/s, you need not reply to this thread. You are automatically given the privilege to make and edit articles.
i suggest giving the mainstay bands full access to their wiki, while the new bands can have one representative to update their own. we can also give certain people access to special wiki pages like COSPLAY, etc. i assume that all edits are subject to approval prior to posting, right? ^^ we can’t have a wikiwar on our hands like what happened to the WIKIPEDIA cosplay page a couple of months back XD
Hmm, that’s a good suggestion. I’m not sure if the Wiki module allows special privileges on specific wiki pages (from what I know, the privileges are applied on the entire Wiki).
Edits definitely require moderator approval, so hopefully that’ll discourage any potential troll from doing trolltastic things. XD

if there’s no way to limit access to specific pages, then open access it is~ there’s always the revert key, y’know XD
the reason why there’s only one thread under that board is because our most recent gig has just concluded and there are no upcoming OS events. trust me, once the next gig has been announced and the cosplay guidelines released, the cosplayers will open up more threads discussing their costumes and their planned groups—especially if they intend to cosplay as an entire band…
Thanks for the suggestion, Neil. Pero it’s a bit too early to judge kasi kakatapos pa lang ng gig. So ngayon puro plano-plano lang ang ginagawa. Let’s wait for the upcoming events na may magcocosplay as J-Artists, OK?
If you’ve been attempting to upload your own avatar for the past week or so and been unable to do so due to an error, please try again. I forgot to change some of the configuration settings when we transferred webhosts. ;^_^ You should be able to upload your avatars with no problems now.
As of this writing, I have disabled forum attachments except for the “Community Photos” sub-forum. The mods have decided to disable this feature as it tends to put more stress on the server. It also tends to encourage everyone to attach images that, while beautiful, tend to have no bearing on the post nor the thread.
If you wish to post an image relevant to your post and you are unable to use free photo-hosting sites like Photobucket, you are free to send me a Private Message and I will personally upload your image to the server.
