We have deleted members who registered last year who have either 1) Never logged in SINCE their registration or 2) Never logged in for more than 6 months. We have decided to prune membership this way to keep the records clean and updated.
Pruning membership is scheduled every July, yearly. FYI.
I think so. I do remember that magnetic_rose accidentally deleted a member and the member’s posts were deleted as well. So, if you don’t want that to happen, you have a maximum of one year to keep your account active.
in addition to post deletion, all topics started by deleted members will also be erased automatically. this in turn will affect the post count of all active members who participated in the thread. so far there’s no way to avoid this short of manually cracking open the content mangament software and rewriting a few things, so i guess we all just have to live with a slight drop in posting stats~
Sorry for the 2-month delay in the report, but as with the case last year, we are undergoing membership pruning. We have altered our rules a little and now we will only remove members who have never logged in since their registration a year ago. Again, this is to keep the database clean and updated.
However, Preferred Members are not included in this pruning.
