Self-Promotion: Posting Approval for Non-OS Affiliated Events
Ongaku Society reserves the right to deny the promotion on the Official Website, Message Boards, LiveJournal Community, and Mailing List of events and activities contrary to the interests and ideals of the organization and its governing body. The moderators reserve the right to modify or delete posts they feel do not promote the interests of Ongaku Society, may possibly take advantage of Ongaku Society’s excellent reputation, or could show the organization in a bad light. OT Boards: Posting Limitations on the OT boards
—Active boards are limited to five (5) threads. The sixth (6th) thread onwards will be manually closed by the mods.
—Active boards are limited to thirty (30) pages. Once the thread reaches its thirty first page (31), the thread will be manually closed by the mods.
—To re-open a closed thread, please send a PM to any mod with CHAT BOARD THREAD RE-OPEN REQUEST in the subject line. In the main body, include a link to the closed thread, plus a valid proposal to re-open the thread.
—Valid proposals to re-open a thread include: 1) posting new information related to the thread; 2) asking a valid question related to the thread; 3) posing a valid discussion theme related to the thread.
—The decision to re-open a thread rests solely on the moderating team; requests may or may not be granted at their discretion. The moderators also reserve the right to provide or withhold explanations for re-opening threads or keeping them closed.
—Absolutely no repetitive threads are allowed. If a new thread has been created to “continue” a closed one, it will be automatically closed and a warning shall be issued to to the thread starter.

Creating New Discussion Threads
Before creating a new discussion thread for your favorite artist, please scroll through all pertinent boards before posting the new one. There may be older threads on the same artist in the second or third page of the current boards, or in the case of multi-genre artists, the other genre boards. Duplicate threads will no longer be merged with the original one and will be deleted instead. There will be no exceptions. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Posting Approval for New Band Threads
Ongaku Society reserves the right to deny the promotion on the Official Website, Message Boards, LiveJournal Community, and Mailing List of particular bands and their activities if they have never been part of any previous Ongaku Society offiicial events (not including open auditions), or have never participated in any of the events affiliated with the organization wherein Ongaku Society served the function of band segment coordinator, band recruiter, and/or event stage manager.
The moderators reserve the right to modify or delete posts by individuals and bands they feel do not promote the interests of Ongaku Society, may possibly take advantage of Ongaku Society’s excellent reputation, or could portray OngakuSociety in a negative light.
