The forums and the website will be down temporarily tomorrow (May 20) to give way to the server’s scheduled hardware upgrades. Hopefully, it’ll be up by 10 in the evening tomorrow.
Thanks for reading.
Edit: Sorry for the confusion (I blame it on the time differences ;^_^), but apparently the upgrades will be held later in the evening. I’ll be taking the site and forums offline later at 6. The upgrades won’t hopefully take too long.
We are pleased to report that the OS website and the forums are now back online. There may be some left overs from the previous webhost that may cause some errors, so if you catch one, please leave a comment to this thread!
Hallelujah! Halos hindi ako makatulog ng tatlong araw dahil dito. XD
@Neil: Does it go back to normal when you refresh it? Kasi baka nagta-time out lang yung connection and the browser isn’t able to load the whole page correctly.

yap haha. laggers yung ISP na gamit ko. ~___~
tapos eto, nakakakuha din ako ng ganitong error:
Notice: Undefined variable: url in /www/*****/*****l/******/****/core.typography.php on line 819
Ah, yung error na yan, may kaunting issue yung bagong version nung forum natin (kaka-update ko lang kasi eh). It’s not major though. It has something to do daw with using special characters. Anyway, nasaan po yung thread that shows this error?
Okie dokie. Wala pang fix na ni-release yung pMachine for that kasi a few days ago lang nila ni-release yung bagong version ng forums. ;^_^ Anyway, you shouldn’t encounter any error messages now kasi I disabled them. XD
now that the forums are back online, i’d like to take a couple of minutes to remind people that despite precautions we’ve taken previously like alloting massive amounts of storage and bandwidth (try 100G per month…) to the site, it is still possible to cause a near-server crash due to high CPU usage. in other words, the forums were taken offline not because we ran out of bandwidth or storage, but because there were simply too many posts trying to get through to the server at one time, taking up almost half of the resources given to nearly nine thousand accounts on the same host.
thankfully we were able to take it offline before it did cause a crash, and transfer the website to an entirely new host—one that is hopefully capable of handling the load. however, and i’d like to stress this: IT IS NOT AN EXCUSE TO OVERLOAD THE MESSAGE BOARDS AGAIN. another near-crash is not impossible, so i’d like to request everyone to PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE POSTERS. the occasional one-liner is acceptable—but to completely inundate the boards with pointless one-liner prattle is completely unacceptable. if the trend continues and people refuse to be considerate with their posting habits, we will have no choice but to permanently take the forums offline—and no one, especially the moderating team, wants that.
so please—help us keep the forums online! thanks again for participating at the boards and we hope that everyone will do their part to make the boards a fun place for all~
